Spaghetti !!

First of all, congratulations are in order...Ryan took the GRE today and he passed it with flying colors. We weren't anticipating problems but it's always nice to get something like that behind you. He is applying to graduate programs and I can't believe he hadn't taken this test before - he's taken every other one you can possibly imagine. Apparently this isn't one he needed when he got his Master's a few years back.

Tonight was spaghetti night in our household...and it was a good one. I picked up a very bouncy Audrey from Grammie's house after work, and when we got home, Ryan had dinner basically ready. (again, notice a trend here...) I really think it was some of the best spaghetti I've ever had and Audrey seemed to like it too...so much so that she rubbed it all over her face! Maybe she wanted to save some for later.

I should have asked Ryan if he put cinnamon in the food....we have a running joke around here that he likes to put cinnamon in everything. He tends to be creative in the kitchen....we have an understanding that if he cooks, I'll clean....and he likes to use all kinds of "seasonings" so when he cooks, I never know what I'm eating until afterwards.

Audrey kept asking for more "skettis" and it is always a treat for her b/c we don't normally allow her to be a messy eater. Well, when we do spaghetti we just let her go...I wish I had whipped out the camera. She was too cute....She also ate a ton of green beans and mandarin oranges - she seems to do well with a variety of foods although there are some textures that she definitely doesn't like. She doesn't like anything like tuna, or shredded chicken like you would find in a chicken salad if it is dry. And it's so funny if she doesn't like something, she sticks her tongue out and scrapes it off with her hand. We are trying to stop this...I'm sure it won't be funny when she's eating someone else's food so we're working on it.

Bathtime tonight was fun too...she has always enjoyed bathtime....with the exception of the very first one mommy and daddy gave her (she screamed through that one.) Apparently her recent trips to the pool have taught her that the harder she swings her arms, the bigger splash she makes. She has always splashed around at a mommy-tolerable level....well, I come upstairs to finish the bedtime process only to discover that daddy has been encouragine BIIIIG splashes....wall-soaking, mommy-drenching-splashes. I have to say, she was having a ball....

and then she crashed. sleepy girl. :)
