the good stuff

Someone stopped me in the store the other day and told me how lucky I am to have 2 girls. Although I don't believe in luck, I'm grateful for God's plan for us. :) Life at our house is just so much fun!

Ava has had lots of important firsts over the past while since I've posted. She's been to the pool and the park and she absolutely LOVED both. She just laughed and laughed in the swing and I really think she would have been happy in her pool float all day long. We've started trying to give her some solid foods but she's not too thrilled about the idea yet. She likes the gerber puffs but so far she just spits everything else out. She did the same with baby food so we'll just be patient and keep trying.

Audrey is continuing to expand her imagination. I know it's normal for girls her age but it just amazes me. It seems like not too long ago I was wondering if she'd ever slow down long enough to even play with her dolls and now it just consumes our life. Any spare moment she has, and she's transforming things.... Our stairs and foyer become "the hockey game" which lends for perfect stadium seating! I've cheered for quite a few hockey games lately from the comfort of my own home - go hockey game, go!! The chair in our family room is the doctor's office and she goes through the entire routine - signing in, watching tv in the waiting room, the very detailed checkup (and DO NOT do anything out of order), the checkout process, getting a tatoo for being good (one day she passed out towels instead???), and handing out prescriptions that we "need to take to Kroger to get medicine." My personal favorite is playing "haircut" because it basically means I get a head massage between all the crazy things she does.

The girls still love each other's company. It's a little interesting now that Ava is invading Audrey's world though. I hear a lot of "MOM!!! Ava's chewing on my ________" but thankfully Audrey has learned the art of distraction and can usually negotiate with her little sis to get back what she wants. I'm not crazy enough to think they'll always get along but I really hope and pray that they'll be the best of friends through it all.

I caught her playing "spaceship" the other day. She was rocking that box...

Playing sleepover....

First bath with big sis!

I have more pictures but they won't load! I'll try again tomorrow. I'm tired...
