It's March! yay! .... We've been busy doing "lots of things" as Audrey would say!
Basketball season ended and Ryan has been around a lot more. The girls have enjoyed having daddy home, and I have too.
We've hit a few major milestones since the last time I posted. Audrey FINALLY potty-trained in January. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of our tunnel o' diapers. (come on Ava....can't you use the potty yet????) Ava sprouted 2 teeth last week which was a bit of a shock really. Audrey was late with teeth so these were unexpected and the little squirt just smiled her way through it. We did notice a huge improvement in her sleep habits after their arrival but that was short-lived....more teeth are on the way. Eh....sleep is overrated anyway.
I think we've been to the doctor more than 10 times since January - we probably paid for the pediatrician's new car. Thankfully we're all doing great right now and just praying for the warmer weather to stick around.
Audrey's life is still full of drama, drama, drama. Just the other morning she woke up at 6am crying and I asked her why... she said "I just have to get my tears out." I let her know that she was more than welcome to get her tears out - she just needed to do it quietly :) Right now she's going to bed at 7pm since she dropped her nap .... I'm curious how the time change will affect us this time around. Every time we let her nap, she sits up until midnight talking to herself and is exhausted the next day - so she might just have to learn to go to bed when it's light outside...
Ava is rolling all over the place and watching her big sister's every move. She will sit for a few seconds when we put her there, but she would much rather be chewing on something and just nosedives for the nearest object. That being said...she refuses food. I can't tell if she just hasn't lost that baby reflex yet or if she truly could care less about eating. Time will tell I guess. She's scooching all over the carpet trying to follow Audrey's movements (a BIG task!) and she moves backwards pretty well when she wants to...
I'm still amazed and truly enjoying the differences in their personalities. Audrey is a little like the Scream Machine at Six Flags....her highs are high and her lows are low. She truly keeps us laughing - especially with her recent penchant for knock-knock jokes and Hannah Montana impressions. I would maybe compare Ava (so far) to one of those flat people-movers at the airport. She's just even-keeled and grins at us all day long. Keep the bottles coming and the diapers dry and she's good to go.
